Humanities 20:20 would like to publicize National Association for Primary Education's event called 'Visions for the Future' over two weeks starting on 15th March 2023. This is intended to promote discussion about the type of rich and engaging primary education which will enable all our children to meet the challenges they face now and in the future. This will include the annual Christian Schiller Lecture 'Values-based Education - the beating heart of Primary Education' by Dr. Neil Hawkes on 15th March, eleven pre-recorded guest presentations and four live panel discussions led by prominent figures in primary education. Full details of these are at www.nape.org.uk/summit The cost is only £20 for all the sessions (£10 for NAPE members and students).
One of the presentations, entitled ‘Transforming education into a space of social justice and human liberation’, will be led by Naheeda Maharasingam, one of the Humanities 20:20 Steering Group.
One of the panel discussions on Wednesday 22nd March at 4.30 will be on the humanities in primary schools, involving Tony Eaude, Stephen Scoffham, Linda Whitworth and Clare Whyles, three of whom are on the Humanities 20:20 Steering Group.
We hope that you will wish to join that discussion, and also attend other sessions., and to publicize this event to other people whom you think would be interested.
