Humanities2020 members meet Ofsted
10 September 2019

On August 21st, six members of the Humanities 20:20 steering group had a long and positive meeting with Phil Minns, who leads on Primary and Early Years for Ofsted, to discuss the importance of the humanities in primary schools, to explain the thinking and research behind Humanities 20:20 and to find out how inspectors will be approaching the inspection of the humanities and be trained to do so. While the details of the meeting are confidential, we hope to use this contact over the next year to support how the new Inspection Framework is implemented, especially in relation to the place of the humanities being seen as an essential part of a balanced and broadly-based curriculum.
